The practice of paying attention
Whether we are leading a team, navigating a relationship, facing a significant transition, or questioning what comes next, the difficulties we encounter are rarely isolated events. They emerge within larger systems of relationships, expectations, habits, and beliefs.
The challenges we face are rarely just technical or individual. They emerge in patterns: in how we think, relate, communicate, and respond under pressure. Often these patterns are not immediately visible, yet they shape outcomes in meaningful ways.
My work is to help make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, so that greater clarity, alignment, and more intentional action can emerge.
Drawing from coaching, systems thinking, and psychotherapy, I work with leaders, professionals, couples, and teams navigating complexity, transition, conflict, and growth. Together we explore not only what is happening, but the relationships and patterns that sustain it.
The goal is not simply insight for its own sake. It is developing the awareness, capacity, and practical choices needed to move forward more effectively.
Why I do this work
My professional life has spanned leadership, coaching, psychotherapy, and systems work. Across these different contexts I have become increasingly interested in a simple question:
Why do capable people remain stuck in patterns that no longer serve them?
Sometimes the answer lies in skills or strategy. More often it lies in relationships, assumptions, emotional habits, or wider systemic dynamics that are difficult to see from within.
My work is to help bring those patterns into view, creating the conditions for greater clarity, choice, and meaningful change.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I work systemically, looking beyond the individual to understand the wider context - relationships, environments, and dynamics. This allows us to make sense of what is happening more fully, rather than addressing issues in isolation.
Depending on the context, our work may sit within a coaching or therapeutic frame. This is always made explicit. What remains consistent is a focus on awareness, responsibility, and meaningful change.
I also integrate embodied practice, supporting you to remain present, grounded, and able to respond effectively, particularly in moments of pressure or uncertainty.
-
I work with leaders, teams, and individuals navigating complexity, transition, and relational challenges.
Much of this work sits at the intersection of professional and personal life, where the two cannot easily be separated.
This includes:
Senior leaders carrying responsibility across people and performance
Teams seeking greater alignment, trust, and effectiveness
Individuals working through change, identity, or relationship dynamics

My work is shaped by a combination of senior organisational experience and clinical training. This allows me to understand both the practical realities of leadership and the deeper human dynamics that influence it.
Before moving into coaching and counselling, I spent over 20 years in senior roles across marketing, digital strategy, and organisational transformation, working across Europe & Asia with responsibility for teams, clients, and commercial outcomes.
I began coaching during this time and later trained as a counsellor, completing a Master of Counselling with a focus on systemic and relational approaches. I have continued to develop my work through advanced training in team and systems coaching, and reflective supervision.
-
Alongside my professional work, I maintain a long-standing practice in Tai Chi and internal cultivation. This informs my approach to presence, balance, and the ability to remain steady and responsive under pressure.
Over time, this becomes less about technique and more about cultivation - developing the ability to stay with what is happening, to listen more closely, and to respond without becoming overwhelmed or reactive.
-
Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and direct when needed. I bring structure without being rigid, and challenge without confrontation. My aim is not to provide answers, but to create the conditions for insight, clarity, and meaningful change.
While the work can involve practical problem-solving, it often becomes a deeper exploration of patterns, relationships, assumptions, and the stories we carry about ourselves and others.
-
Rather than focusing solely on individuals, a systemic perspective considers the relationships, contexts, and environments in which people live and work.
Whether working with an executive, a couple, a leadership team, or an organisation, I am interested not only in what is happening, but in the patterns that sustain it.
Let’s start with a conversation
